Together We Learn And Grow
At Gurnard Primary School we genuinely value feedback and ideas from parents and carers to help make our school even better. To facilitate this we have established a Parent Forum. The Parent Forum is an informal group that meets every half term to discuss a range of school improvement issues and to share ideas with the school's Senior Leadership Team. All parents and carers are welcome to attend and there is no pressure to attend every meeting. The work of the Parent Forum is closely linked to priorities identified through the Leading Parent Partnership Award. Please contact the school office for details of the next meeting.
The LPPA is a recognised award that provides a challenging framework within which schools can strengthen their partnerships with parents and carers. We have recently started the award and hope to complete it within 12 months.
The LPPA consists of ten evidence-based objectives which schools must meet to get the award:
What difference will the award make to the work done with families at Gurnard Primary School?
It will make our work with families even better. It will improve our communication and build more activities for families in school. As you know we are always trying to improve and completing this award will help us do that!
How can families help us gain the award?
